I was in Gettysburg this weekend. Let me tell you, it was hot. The temp gauge on the car was registering 97 degrees. It was not officially that hot, but still! It was also one of the most crowded weekends I have ever seen. Think high summer. Lots of older folks and boy scouts. That’s me at the McPherson barn. As usual, I got sunburned. (I’m way more red than I am in that picture now.) ((How does someone with dark hair get sunburned so much? You’d think I was a red-head like A.P. Hill.))

Here are a few highlights. I took a lot of monument pictures (of course), and even got many better shots for some of those already featured. You’ll have to wait for those; these are just landscapes.

This is actually Little Round Top and the Rose Farm from the Longstreet tower. Note the heavy shroud of fog.

This is a fence-line looking towards the Trostle Farm. You can see the beginnings of fall color.

More fog — though it is starting to clear. This is the Pennsylvania monument.

A Napolean cannon. On Seminary Ridge, near the Mississippi monument. And a Parrot rifle at the base of the Longstreet tower.
