The northern end of the Cuyahoga Valley Railway is at Rockside Road, right near 480/77 in Independence.
That’s a relatively common design for a highway overpassing a river or ravine, but whenever I see that kid, I think of the CVSR.
I lived in Bay Village ten years ago and would run out along Lake Road toward Rocky River. There’s a great restaurant there called Salmon Dave’s. I hadn’t thought of that place in years, but this past weekend my mother said she took my grandmother there for the lobster bisque.
Jenny, you certainly do have a photographer’s eye! And how did you get those closeups of the wildlife? You must run very quietly.
The second one made me think “Shenandoah” for some reason. I could see Jimmy Stewart and his family riding into the scene.

Is this the area through which the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railway runs?
I used to spend some time there and the photo of the bridge passing over the river looks a lot like one under which the CVSR runs.
It is the Rocky River Reservation of the Cleveland metroparks. Cuyahoga Valley is about half an hour south of here (or so).
