What does it depict? Granite marker with bronze representation of the seal of the Lone Star State and text commemorating the services of Texans in the Battle of Gettysburg.
What does it honor? The Texas monument honors the three Texas regiments of J. B. Robertson’s Brigade (the only Texas units at Gettysburg). It is sited on land occupied by soldiers of Robertson’s Brigade prior to its attack toward Round Tops on July 2, 1863.

THE BRIGADE HELD THIS POSITION THE/NIGHT OF JULY 2 AND DURING THE DAY OF/JULY 3. THE BRIGADE THEN FELL BACK TO A/POSITION NEAR THIS MEMORIAL ON THE/EVENING OF JULY 3, ON THE FIELD AT GETTYSBURG.
