Monument Project Status
I am nearing the end of the monument project! Though you will continue seeing the posts through the summer.
I only have a handful of monuments left to photograph. I need to hit The Lost Avenue (Wolf Hill), a few of the cavalry monuments down on South Cavalry Field (the 2nd and the 5th if I recall correctly), and there are a few I need to re-shoot and/or try to get better images of, but … that is it! I also have to do write-ups yet on some of the “biggies.”
(Monument Project posts are written in advance and self-publish, by the way. So I have posts set to publish through July so far! I’ve had a few people ask about how I always am able to get them up even when I’m otherwise busy.)

There are monuments in some out-of-the-way places.
I played golf on a course just SE of the round tops and there are corps field hospital markers on the back nine.
The pro said every time they add some new element to the course they find piles of relics.

I do still need to get the hospital markers. I’m just done with the regimentals — there are still tons of markers to hunt down.
Keeps me busy. :)
Will you have a photo of the Zook monument on Wheatfield Road?
