Location: West Confederate Avenue near the Snyder Farm.
Dedication Date: 1966. Dedicated June 18, 1966.
Sculptor/Artist/Company: Cobb Memorials, fabricator.
Main Inscription: ARKANSAS/THE GRATEFUL PEOPLE OF THE/STATE OF ARKANSAS ERECT THIS/MEMORIAL AS AN EXPRESSION OF/THEIR PRIDE IN THE OFFICES AND/MEN OF THE THIRD ARKANSAS INFANTRY, CONFEDERATE STATES/ARMY, WHO BY THEIR VALOR/AND, THEIR BLOOD, HAVE/MADE THIS GROUND/FOREVER HALLOWED
Monument Specifications: Granite marker with carved outline of the State of Arkansas and text in center, flanked by grouping of soldiers on either side. The monument stands atop a three-stepped platform with four cast aluminum cubes with etchings of the Confederate battle flag positioned at each corner of the lower step. The monument was constructed of Mt. Airy granite. The monument stands 8 feet tall and is 20 feet in length.
